The Kleins: Nova Scotia

This October we were able to visit my parent's. It had been almost two and a half years since we had seen them and I wasn't sure if the kids would remember the. But after we got through customs, they saw Grandma and the boys ran right for her. Here is a picture of us at the airport after a very long day.

Well, after a good nights sleep, The first day there we got to ride the ferry across the Halifax harbor and enjoy the famous Cows ice cream. We also got to ride the Harbor Hopper which took us on a tour of the city on land and water. I'm not sure how much the kids enjoyed it, especially since Kalryn fell asleep, but I really liked it. We had a lot of fun , but I think the kids mostly just enjoyed being with Grandma and Grandpa. Afterwards, the weather was actually warm enough and the kids got to play in the lake just across the street from Grandma and Grandpa's house. If it had been warm all week, I think that is all the kids would have wanted to do.

Sunday was Jane's blessidng day. It was fun to be able to share her blessing with my parent's. We also got to see the Halifax temple since it is in the same parking lot as the church house. That afternoon we went for a walk through a wooded park that opened up into the harbor.

One night the boys wanted ice cream, and of course Grandma and Grandpa let them have as much as they wanted. It's a good thing they have grandparents, or who else would spoil them.

The rest of the week we had a lot of adventures. We got to visit the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove; see a bluenose ship being built in Lunenberg; cook and eat lobster; ride a ferry across the ocean; visit the beautiful Prince Edward Island where we enjoyed the beaches, the changing fall leaves, and chocolate covered potato chips at the Anne of Green gables chocolate store; see the tide change at the Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy; chase the waves at Conrad beach; and enjoy the walks around the lakes near Grandma's house.
